A Word a Week Photography Challenge – Frame

Framing can indeed highlight features that you want to make sure everyone sees. It seems to give both context and order to many photos.

The first photo here is of Mt. Baker, framed by trees and a marina inlet from Blakely Island in the San Juan Islands of the Salish Sea in Washington State.

This photo is framed within Deer Harbor on Orcas Island, also in the Salish Sea. It shows a tug boat hauling a raft or boom of logs taking them to a saw mill to be turned into lumber.
